It all started with a promise ...
When Phil and Marie Glotzbach arrived at Skidmore in 2003, they promised to grow access to Skidmore by increasing scholarships and financial aid. Since then, Skidmore’s financial aid budget has more than tripled.
In honor of the Glotzbachs’ 17 years at Skidmore and their meaningful accomplishments in increasing scholarships and financial aid, we invite you to you help continue their legacy of providing a world-class education to the next generation of students with a gift.
As each scholar fulfills their promise, we celebrate our greatest achievements time and time again.Philip A. Glotzbach

Establish funding for 17 Glotzbach Scholars, one for each year of Phil and Marie’s leadership and increase alumni participation.
For every 400 gifts, one Glotzbach Scholarship will be funded by leadership donors who have stepped up to make this effort possible. A gift of any amount to the Skidmore Fund — or to any area of the College — will count toward this effort.

"I chose Skidmore because of the incredibly friendly and welcoming community I experienced the minute that I stepped foot on campus. Since coming here I have conducted meaningful research, challenged my views of myself and society and made lifelong friends and memories. I have developed connections with professors who have become mentors. None of this would be possible for me without scholarship support. I am honored to be a Glotzbach Scholar."
