Patricia Bosen, MSN, FNP-C
Patty is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Director of Health Services. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nursing Credentialing Center and holds a Masters Degree from SUNY Utica/Rome. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (an International Nursing Honor Society), Nurse Practitioner Association of NY State and both the American and New York State College Health Associations. Patty enjoys interacting with students both within the setting of Health Services and in outreach opportunities on campus.
Deb joined Health Services in 2010 after working in Skidmore's Dean of Special Programs office for 13 years. She welcomes being part of the medical community and enjoys the day-to-day contact with the students. Interests include reading, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing (only in fair-weather), and exercising. Spending time with family and friends is a joy!
Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
Carla Suna, MSN, FNP
Carla is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a BS in nursing from the University of Rochester and received her MS from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the New York State Association for Nurse Practitioners, and the New York State College Health Association. While certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, her specific areas of interest are gynecological care, health promotion, and STI prevention.
Val Schultz, MSN, FNP-C
Val is a Family Nurse Practitioner working full-time for Skidmore College Health Services. She received her BSN from Wagner College, her MSN from Pace University, and her FNP degree from Sage Graduate School in Troy, NY. Val has enjoyed working in maternal/child health care over the years and every summer works at a camp in New Hampshire. When not at work, she loves spending time with family and friends, yoga, kayaking, and taking long walks.
Meg Schiemann, PA
Meg Schiemann is a board-certified physician assistant working part-time in Health Services. She received a BS in Biology from Siena College. She then attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina where she graduated with a Masters in Medical Science. She has previous health care experience working in orthopedics, sports medicine, and spine health. She is so excited to be part of the Skidmore Health Services team. She thoroughly enjoys helping students with their health care needs while supporting them in on-campus events and performances. Outside of work, Meg enjoys outdoor time with her family, spent both in Saratoga Springs and the Adirondacks.
Kim Montelone, FNP
Kim is a Family Nurse Practitioner who works per diem in Health Services. She obtained her Masters in Nursing from Sage Graduate School. She also holds a B.A. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and a B.S.N. in Nursing from The Sage Colleges. During the summer Kim volunteers with Double H Hole in the Woods, a camp for children with life threatening diseases. In her spare time she also enjoys running, baking, and various outdoor activities with her family; which includes her husband, two small children, and their dog Kenzie.
Aimee McMaster, MSN, ACNP -C
Aimee is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She holds a Masters Degree from Sage College and Post Masters Certificates from both Sage and Villanova.
Debbie Flaherty, MD
Dr. Flaherty is Board certified in Family Medicine. She has held positions in primary care, academic medicine and dermatology. She is experienced to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic illness, in people of all ages. She enjoys developing strong relationships with her patients and working with them to achieve their optimal health. She lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband and three children. Her kids love attending Skidmore hockey games and participating in Skidmore summer camps. She is very honored to be a member of the Skidmore community.
Randy Anselmo, MD
Dr. Anselmo is a part-time physician with Skidmore College Health Services. He is the full-time Director of Health Services at Bennington College. When not at work, Randy loves to travel all over the world with his family.
Michelle Lapo, RN
Michelle is a full time Registered Nurse with Skidmore College since 2006. She enjoys speaking with the students and helping them understand their health care needs. She shares an active family life with her husband and triplet boys.
Kara Sysyn, RN
Kara is a Registered Nurse at Skidmore Health Services. She received her Bachelors in Nutrition from the University of New Hampshire and her BSN in Nursing from SUNY Binghamton. In her spare time Kara enjoys spending time with her family and friends doing skiing, hiking, yoga and traveling.
Colleen Shamberger BSN, RN
Colleen is a full time RN at Skidmore’s Health Services. She has been a registered nurse for over 25years and has various experience such as oncology, home care and IV nursing. She earned her BSN at Niagara University. For the past 10 years she has enjoyed working in a school setting. She truly enjoys working with college aged students and helping them navigate the medical system. She has 3 children and enjoys spending time with them, her husband and her family dog, Cooper. She loves to bake, make stationery and attend Skidmore theater productions put on by the students.

Donna-Rae Brown, RN
Donna-Rae has been a per diem Registered Nurse with Skidmore College since 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2019. Donna-Rae enjoys spending her free time horseback riding, making arts and crafts with her nieces and nephews, and traveling with her husband, friends, and family.
