"Summer Pre-College Programs for High School Students"

Try college on before taking college on. Skidmore's Pre-College Program director will explain the many benefits of summer pre-college programs, including earning college credit, experiencing the campus life, making friends from around the world and preparing yourself for college success.

Skidmore student hosts will eat with the group in the dining hall. These hosts will escort the students from the dining hall to Gannett Auditorium for the 7 p.m. session.
6–8 p.m. Dinner for parents

Parents will pick up their students in the lobby of Palamountain Hall at 8 p.m.
7–8 p.m.

"Navigating the College Admissions Process"
Gannett Auditorium
Students will get a seasoned college counselor’s perspective on how to launch the process and identify schools that could be great matches. Facilitating the discussion will be Ali Bhanji, Director of College Guidance, Collegiate School (New York, New York)

A cappella showcase (optional)
Filene Auditorium
Join the Skidmore Community for an evening of a cappella performances by the Skidmore a cappella groups including Accents, Bandersnatchers, Drastic Measures, Dynamics, Rejoice, Sonneteers and Treblemakers. The event is free of charge. Come and enjoy!

Location Details

  • The Class of 1967 Lobby, Davis Auditorium and Gannett Auditorium are located in Palamountain Hall.
  • The Spa, Skidmore's on-campus snack bar, located on the lower level of Case Center, will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  It will be closed on Sunday, January 28. 
  • The Burgess Café, Skidmore's on-campus coffee bar, located on the second floor of Case Center, will be open on Saturday, January 27 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. It will be open on Sunday, January 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • The Atrium Café, convenience store and Murray-Aikins Dining Hall will be open on Saturday, January 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, January 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Murray-Aikins Dining Hall closes from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Skidmore Shop, located on the lower level of Case Center, will be open on Saturday, January 27 from noon to 3:30 p.m. It will be closed on Sunday, January 28.
  • The Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery, located across the parking lot from Case Center, will be open on Saturday and Sunday, January 27–28 from noon to 5 p.m.
