Professor Kejzlar joined the department in Fall of 2020. He completed his Ph.D. in Statistics at Michigan State University in 2020. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Professor Kejzlar’s research focuses on computational aspects of statistical machine learning and the development of new methodologies for Bayesian uncertainty quantification motivated by real-world applications in physical sciences and engineering disciplines. He collaborates on nuclear physics problems with researchers from the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams at Michigan State University and Argonne National Laboratory. Professor Kejzlar teaches courses in statistics and probability.
