SLICE A

Slice A is the most anterior slice of the coronal sections. We can tell anterior slices are anterior because we see only the corpus callosum and no fornix, no hippocampus. Anterior slices show the basal ganglia (caudate, putamen, globus pallidus) and do not show the thalamus.
