When he was first a guest on This is Skidmore, political science professor Chris Mann discussed the then-upcoming presidential election and hinted about his students' unique research that was to be performed during the semester. Now, on season two's final episode of This is Skidmore, Mann was joined by Brent Azaert '20, Brian Roberge '18, and Antigone Scaperdas '19 to share their findings.

"As an experimental social psychologist, I'm interested in how people see each other and how that affects their interactions," says Leigh Wilton, who joined Skidmore's psychology faculty last year. Gender and race are her top issues.
The authors of Listen, We Need to Talk: How to Change Attitudes about LGBT Rights spoke about their research at Skidmore recently, and a student offers this summary.- A photographic traverse of the entirety of Norway from north to south is one of 20 projects challenging recipients of $4000 SEE-Beyond grants this summer.
- Joshua Aronson, associate professor of applied psychology at New York University, will discuss "Stereotype Threat and Its Implications for Colleges and College Students" in a talk scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5. Free and open to the public, the discussion will take place in Gannett Auditorium, Palamountain Hall. A reception will follow.
- Skidmore will welcome a number of scholars to campus this week for a variety of special lectures. The first talk, on April 4, is the annual Strock Lecture in Geosciences, to be given by Ellen Wohl (left). The day after that, the Psychology Department hosts a talk on memory confusion.
- Students in PS 212B have scheduled discussions, a film, and other events to celebrate April as Autism Awareness Month. All events are free and open to the public.
- Gold-medal swimmer Nancy Hogshead-Makar is an expert on matters of equity in sports. She'll discuss the challenges facing Olympics organizers as they deal with the decisions of recent Title IX litigation in the U.S. Her talk is free and open to the public.
