Faculty-Staff Achievements

Sarah DiPasquale, assistant professor of dance, co-authored a paper, “Searching for balance: The effects of dance training on the postural stability of individuals with intellectual disability,” in the Journal of Intellectual and Developmental Disability. 

Heather Hurst, associate professor of anthropology, co-authored an article, “Revisiting the Past: Material Negotiations between the Classic Maya and an Entombed Sweat Bath at Xultun, Guatemala,” in Cambridge Archaeological Journal.  

Stephen Ives, associate professor of health and human physiological sciences, co-authored a research paper in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, “The Impact of wrist percooling on physiological and perceptual response during a running time trial performance in the heat,” with Kelsey Denby ’18, Ronald Caruso ’17 and Emily Schlicht ’17. 

Kelly Melekis, associate professor and chair of social work, co-authored an academic article, “Identity Narration and Negotiation among Older Adults Experiencing Homelessness,” in the Journal of Aging and Environment.  

Rodrigo Schneider, assistant professor of economics, will present on “Law, guns and money in Brazil” during the virtual October 2020 Economic Policy Panel Meeting. The event is hosted by Economic Policy, a quarterly European journal that provides timely and authoritative analyses of the choices confronting policymakers.
