Achievement on the 2017-2018 academic year (including last summer)?

Accepted into Princeton's Summer Undergraduate Research Program this summer.

How did you choose your major?

I came into Skidmore knowing I wanted to major in a natural science, but I was not sure in which specific field. My freshman year I took a course in chemistry, biology, and environmental science. Out of these courses I enjoyed chemistry especially the laboratory portion. Joining professor Frederick's research lab that summer solidified my choice in pursuing a degree in chemistry and find my passion for research.

What do you plan to do after Skidmore?

After Skidmore I plan to attend graduate school for a PhD possibly in analytical chemistry.

Recommendations for incoming OP students?

I had a lot of self-doubt throughout my semesters here even now I sometimes find myself questioning my abilities, but I found a group of friends and faculty who always support and encourage me when times get hard. My advice to incoming OP students is don't give up on pursuing your dream. Times will get hard academically and emotionally, but we are all capable of achieving our goal. Find that group of people who believe in you and will support you throughout your time here.
