An in-person Celebration Weekend for families will be held Oct. 15-17. Registration is open through Oct. 7 and can be completed on the Celebration Weekend website or directly through the link emailed to parents on Sept. 15. Visit the website for more information and to view the schedule. A highlight of the weekend’s festivities will be the inauguration of Marc C. Conner as Skidmore’s eighth president.
The popular lecture series Skidmore Encore will be presented live online in two 45-minute webinars each Tuesday from Oct. 12 through Nov. 9. See the schedule for presenters and topics. Registration is now open to those age 55 and older and is free for those who register using a valid Skidmore email address; the fee is $95 for all others. Now until Nov. 5, nominate alumni for recognition awards and for positions on the alumni board. Alumni in class years ending with 2 and 7 are especially urged to nominate classmates for distinguished achievement or outstanding service awards.

New Orleans-based Michael Tisserand will discuss “Why We Need Krazy Kat" at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, during the 32nd annual Fox-Adler Lecture, open to all members of the Skidmore community as a virtual event. Register online to attend.
Roommate: Living with Tang Art returns! Stop by the museum to view works of art from the Tang collection that Skidmore students can borrow to hang in their rooms. The world premiere performance of “Energy in All Directions,” online, will feature new music created in a collaboration between Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Academy of American Poets, and the Tang.
