In June Megan Rhodes ran her first Rock ’N’ Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA, as a member of
the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. This organization’s mission is to find
a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of
life for patients and their families. Megan was inspired by her grandmother, who lost her battle with cancer when Megan was five years old. Also, a childhood friend died of Hodgkin’s disease
at the age of 19. Megan raised $3,600. She encourages anyone interested in helping her cause to contact her at email@example.com. She would also love to hear how classmates are doing.
