Executive-in-Residence Colleen Burke has been director of the Skidmore-Saratoga Consulting
Partnership for the last six semesters. Burke has an MBA from Harvard University and
is currently ABD (completing her dissertation). She has been a professor at Skidmore
for 14 years and a consultant to Fortune 500 firms, social enterprises and tech startups
for 25 years.
SSCP (formerly SSEP) was created and directed by Professor Roy Rotheim of the Skidmore Economics Department. Under his leadership, student consultants successfully partnered with more than 100 clients in the region.
In addition, faculty from throughout Skidmore make themselves available to contribute to SSCP clients and guide student consultants. To mention a few of those faculty members who work with SSCP: David Howson, director of the Arts Administration Program, is a critical advisor to student consultants engaged with nonprofit organizations; Management and Business Department faculty members Ela Lepkowska-White and Christine Page advise SSCP students on market research, focus groups and survey creation; Management and Business Department faculty members David Marcinko and Heidi Durkee guide student consultants on key accounting and financial analysis concerns; Professor of Art Deborah Hall and her students help with graphics, logos and social media design, and Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Nurcan Atalan Helicke has assisted with issues of sustainability and the politics of food. It would not be possible to run the Skidmore-Saratoga Consulting Partnership without the assistance of faculty with such diverse specializations.
