Overnight Accommodations



Surrey rooms may be reserved up to 72 hours in advance on the Surrey web page.
If you need a reservation within 72 hours, please contact or call 518-580-5599.

Check in time is 3:00pm
Check out time is 11:00am
Keycodes are programmed accordingly.

Please note the following dates are not available for reservations:

  • Celebration Weekend
  • Board of Trustee's Meetings
  • Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Winter Break
  • Commencement Weekend 
  • Alumni Reunion Weekend
  • Limited rooms are available during Saratoga Track Season

Surrey rooms are available for requesting 3 months in advance.  Under special circumstances, such as major college events, contact to hold rooms further out.

Nine guest rooms are available on the 2nd floor, all with Queen-size beds and private bath. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor guest rooms.  One first floor room with a twin bed is available as needed.  Please contact if you have the need for the 1st floor room. Guests should be aware there is no Innkeeper in residence to greet them upon arrival.  Arrangements should be made in advance for guests with special needs.

Surrey rooms are intended for short term stays of less than one week.  The Surrey cannot support longer stays since there are neither laundry nor cooking facilities for guests; among other factors.

Guest amenities include a TV, Guest Wifi, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, and blow dryer.  A single serve coffee maker and supplies are provided in each room.  There is a water fountain/bottle filling station on the 1st floor to the left of the main entrance.  No continental breakfast or food service is available.  Wifi, TV, and information about Skidmore and Saratoga Springs may be found in the Guest Information Notebook in each room.

A common room is available on the 2nd floor with a computer and printer, microwave, mini fridge, ironing board, and other guest conveniences.  The 1st floor kitchen and nook is not accessible to guests. 

Several on-going initiatives in support of the Campus Sustainability Plan include locally sourced and sustainable amenities from Beekman 1802, in-room recycling receptacles, a water bottle filling station, shade grown coffee pods, biodegradable paper products, water saving tips for guest towel and linen use, and a Clean Green certified linen supplier.


Guest rooms are $100/per night*

Guests doing business with the college and/or paid for by a department, receive a 30% discount, or $70/night.

Cancellations of less than 24 hours notice will be charged a $25 fee.

*Please note that as of January 1st, 2019 room rates will increase to $125/night.


Step 1 requires you to enter a 3-digit SCIP #, as well as a Department Contact Name and email.

Step 2 requires you to Select the Form of Payment, 
choose Department Charge(no credit card information is required.)

Charges will be posted directly to the SCIP number provided; a receipt will be sent to the department contact.


Guest rooms for those doing business with the College are given priority. However, alumni, faculty/staff, and family of students/faculty/staff, are welcome to stay at the Surrey as space allows. All guests must have an affiliation with the College.  Guests not doing business with the college will be charged sales and occupancy tax and must pay by credit card. A receipt will be emailed upon checkout.


Reservations require the guest’s name, address, and GUEST email. For the safety and security of all guests, college policy requires the confidential key code be sent directly to the guest’s email. If the guest email is not available at the time the reservation is made, enter the department contact email.  Guest emails must be updated a minimum of two weeks before arrival. Please email the surrey@skidmore.eduwith the reservation # or date, guest name and email as soon as it is available to avoid undo stress for your guest.


Upon approval, the department contact will receive a confirmation which will include the balance due.  Please save or print this confirmation for your records.  Click for a Sample Department Confirmation

Upon receipt of the guest’s email, the guest will receive a confirmation with directions and check in information. No balance due will be reflected in their confirmation.  Click for a Sample Guest Confirmation

Up to 48 hours before check in day, the guest will receive a second email with a confidential keycode to access the front door and guest room. Click for a Sample Key Code Message

Emails will be sent from the SuperInn reservation system, please check your junk mail if you do not receive it.


Cancellation policy: Reservations must be canceled 24 hours prior to guest(s) arrival, or a $25 charge will apply.

Non-smoking policy: The inn is smoke-free.  The burning of candles or incense in guest rooms is prohibited.

Pet policy: For health and safety reasons, unapproved pets are not permitted at the Surrey Williamson Inn*. If an unapproved animal is found on campus, the owner will be asked to remove it from the premises within 24 hours, and will be charged a cleaning fee of $200.  If applicable, see our therapy animal authorization requirements, and contact for final approval.


The Surrey Williamson Inn has no full time Innkeeper. However, Megan Bove, Scheduling and Event Coordinator, is managing the guest room reservations. There are several staff providing daily management, financial and system support among other things.  Therefore please use the  email for all Surrey needs as it is monitored by more than one person, and reduces the risk of missing a message sent to a personal email. After hours please contact Campus Safety for emergency Surrey needs.
