Saratoga Springs is a great community with many opportunities to get involved. Community groups throughout the Saratoga Springs area are working to make our world more sustainable. From land stewardship to innovative community planning, there is something for every interest.
Sustainable Saratoga is a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainable practices and the protection of natural resources through education, advocacy and action.
Some of the projects Sustainable Saratoga is working on include:
Bikeatoga is committed to pushing for a better future by making functional cycling more convenient, accessible and safe in and around Saratoga Springs, emphasizing the environmental, economic and health-related benefits of cycling. Bikeatoga has helped Skidmore College repair Bikemore bicycles and even donated 10 bicycles to the program. The group also organizes the annual Bike to Work Day Challenge every May.
Anyone wishing to repair their own bicycle or has bike-repair skills and would like to volunteer with Bikeatoga can attend their bike workshops on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon in the basement of the Church of St. Peter at 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs.
Saratoga Farmers Market
The Saratoga Farmers Market provides Saratoga County with fresh, local and high-quality food and agricultural products direct from the farmers and producers in the area. With markets in Clifton Park, Malta and downtown Saratoga Springs, there is always an opportunity to shop and buy locally.

High Rock Park pavilions
The Wilton Wildlife Preserve and Park focuses on conservation, education and recreation in significant lands. Located in Wilton, Saratoga County, the park is a wonderful place to explore.

Slow Food Saratoga Region
Slow Food Saratoga is a chapter of the global slow-food movement focused on linking the pleasure of food to community and the environment. Slow Food Saratoga is very active in the community, planning many events around food including slow-food dinners, local tastings and dialogue around our current food system.
