Facilities Updates

Dan Rodecker appointed assistant vice president for facilities and planning

Rodecker will report to Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer Daniel Konstalid. As assistant vice president for facilities and planning, Rodecker will provide strategic leadership for all campus facilities functions and facilitate the development of a strategic vision for facilities renewal and expansion that aligns with the College’s Campus Master Plan. He will also co-chair the reconstituted Space Planning Working Group.

“The experience Dan has gained through his long and impactful service to the campus positions him well for this new role,” Konstalid said. “As the College continues to implement its Campus Master Plan, we look forward to completing the third phase of the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences project and the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center while planning and executing additional projects of similar scale and complexity in the years to come.”

Summer construction

  • Seal coating in the parking lots for Colton House, Surrey-Williamson Inn, Admissions, and Communications and Marking is scheduled to begin Monday, July 31. Employees and visitors should park on North Broadway. The lots will reopen the following day. In the event of rain, seal coating will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
  • This first phase of blasting at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center is complete. Facilities will notify the Skidmore community when the next phase begins.
  • Work on a new geothermal field in the area between the Community Garden and Wiecking Hall will continue through the summer. Ladd Hall will be closed for the remainder of the summer for construction.
