McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center Opening

Official opening and spring semester hours ‌

‌The McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center will open on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Cardio and weight room hours will be Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, noon-10 p.m. ‌ ‌

‌Open house offerings and tours ‌

‌From noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the lobby of McCaffery-Wagman vendors from BARE Blends, 9 Miles East, and KEY Sparkling Water will be offering samples and items for sale. Sign up for tours of the new facility at noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m, meeting in the lobby. ‌ ‌

‌Intro to cardio room and weight room equipment ‌

‌Strength and conditioning staff will be providing introductions to using the new equipment in the cardio room and weight room throughout the first and second week of opening. Space is limited; sign up online. ‌ ‌

‌Free group fitness classes 

‌Try a group fitness class in the new Group Fitness Studio. Classes include yoga, pilates, and spin. Space is limited; sign-up online.

Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

‌Skidmore is again partnering with MLK Saratoga to support the Dr. King Celebration Weekend, which begins this Friday, Jan. 17. Events, including a masterclass with Assistant Professor of Dance Kieron Dwayne Sargeant, a keynote address by Assistant Professor of American Studies Tammy Owens, and music by Garland Nelson ’96, will be offered throughout the weekend and Monday. ‌Register for winter soccer intramurals 

‌Registration for winter soccer intramurals is open to all Skidmore faculty, staff, and students. Practice for co-ed varsity soccer will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and co-ed junior varsity soccer practices will be from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, taking place in the the intramural gym in the Williamson Athletic Center. ‌New York City student video screening 

Attend “Unstable Memories,” a Media Hour screening inviting participants to examine ideas around film and television pieces, featuring student and alumni-created shorts from The Transient Present, a 2024 media and film studies course.
