Not an artist? Love the arts, but don’t think you can spare the time? Think again. The prominence of the arts at Skidmore has long set us apart. Where others talk about integrating the arts, we’ve created a vibrant academic, cocurricular, and social culture enriched by the visual and performing arts. We’re talking about science and history classes collaborating on exhibits at the Tang Museum. Hundreds of students performing in music groups. Enrolled in dance courses. Doing theater performances. Most not even arts majors. And packed houses for our popular a capella groups, ensembles, and professional performances.
At Skidmore, we like to say the arts don’t dominate, they permeate.
