Solar eclipse viewing glasses and event ‌

‌From approximately 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, the moon will gradually block the sun in the sky above Skidmore. At 3:27 p.m., the sun will be 98% percent blocked by the moon. The Office of Communications and Marketing will distribute free Skidmore-branded eclipse glasses for the community to pick up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 4, 5, and 8 outside of the Skidmore Shop — while supplies last. All are then invited to bring their glasses and questions to Case Green for a viewing event featuring science faculty, including astrophysicist Mary Crone Odekon.
