Skidmore and MCS Networks
For students who are registered in a math or computer science course that will use one of the department's labs - what should you do?
First, be sure to have a valid username and password.
The MCS Lab machines are Windows-based and thus require a campus (or email) username and password.
The Linux Lab requires special usernames and passwords - see your instructor for details.
Once logged in.... (and be sure to log out when done!)
... the screen presents a Windows or Linux desktop, complete with icons and the usual assortment of graphical widgets.
Most students will be using the Java programming environment (Eclipse) in their work. Other compilers are available in the MCS and Linux labs (e.g. Prolog, Scheme, and lisp).
