Ash Wednesday and Lent 
Receive ashes on the second floor of Case Center today or join the ORSL for a gathering at 12:30 p.m. in the Wyckoff Center. Midday prayer will be held Mondays at 12:30 p.m. in Case 205. Ramadan Kickoff 

‌Those who are observing Ramadan are invited to sign up with the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and check SkidSync to receive information about resources and events. A Ramadan kickoff event and iftar reception will be held at 5:20 p.m. today in the Wyckoff Center. 

Shabbat and Iftar dinner 
Join the Muslim Student Association and Hillel for an Iftar and Shabbat dinner from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, in the dining hall (second floor). All are welcome. Food restrictions and allergies will be accommodated. RSVP on SkidSync

‌Black Men Speaking: A Conversation with Eight African American Writers 

‌All are invited to join distinguished African American writers Ethelbert Miller, Clifford Thompson, Jerald Walker, Mark Sanders, Gerald Early, David Nicholson, John McCluskey Jr., and Charles Johnson today, Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 4–5 p.m. via Zoom for a conversation about American history, literature, politics, and culture. Assistant Professor Tammy Owens will moderate.

‌Institutional Diversity and the Wyckoff Center invite the community to recognize Black History Month with a series of events honoring Black history, culture, and contributions. RSVPs are required to attend certain events. Learn more

‌‌Annual Edwin M. Moseley Faculty Lectureship

‌Join us at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in Gannett Auditorium to hear Professor Barbara Black deliver her lecture, "Reading the City," about the three books that have formed the centerpiece of her scholarly project, with a focus on 19th-century London.

‌Registration for Summer Sports Camps

‌Registration for Skidmore Summer Sports Camps opens March 1. Led by Skidmore coaches, the camps are open to children of all ages and teach teamwork concepts and skills in baseball, basketball, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
