Faculty Staff Achievements Feb. 18, 2026

Kris Covey, professor of environmental studies and sciences, gave a guest lecture on “Soil Health for Landscape Architecture” at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Reg Lilly, professor of philosophy, published "The Analytic of Ultimates: A Traumatology" in Breaking Ground: Thinking with Reiner Schürmann, edited by Marcia Schuback Cavalcante.

Christopher Seaton, professor of mathematics, co-authored "The partial derivative of ratios of Schur polynomials and applications to symplectic quotients,"  in the European Journal of Combinatorics.

Jeff Segrave, professor emeritus of health and human physiological sciences, published “An Olympic Terpsichore: The Ancient Greek Games in the European Ballets of the 17th and 18th Centuries” in Olympika: The International Journal of Olympic Studies.

Lisa Trumble, assistant director of IT strategic initiatives, published the short story "Aunts" in the winter edition of The Lemonwood Quarterly. 

Lena Retamoso Urbano, visiting assistant professor of Spanish, will be a special guest at the event "Celebrating 80 Years of Symposium: A Quarterly Journal in Modern Literatures" at Syracuse University's Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics as part of a presentation of the special issue "Literary Cinescapes: Film and Literature in the Latin American Avant-Garde." 

Murat C. Yildiz, associate professor of history, published "The Ottoman World of Sports: Refashioning Bodies, Men, and Communities in Late Imperial Istanbul."
