Then I took a class called Greek Tragedy, which sparked my interest in the classics. I realized this was my true passion.” Ambition: “To live in Italy for a year, and afterward pursue a graduate degree in Europe. Eventually, I’d like to teach humanities, perhaps at an international school abroad.”

In my house, we have five different majors represented: economics, computer science, Asian studies, biochemistry, and business.” Ambition: “I’ve developed a fascination with the law and its interpretation. Law school is my next step. But I’m not sure whether I’ll go corporate or pursue public service.”

What’s most important here is getting an education that allows you to go out and do something meaningful in the world.” Ambition: “After completing my N.I.H. internship, I want to earn an M.D./Ph.D. and advance the knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases.”

There are so many events—Latino events, comedy shows, tons of music. Coming to Skidmore I didn’t expect that, but there’s always something going on, no matter what your taste is.” Ambition: “Work for a macro-level social work agency such as the Human Rights Campaign.”

When I first arrived at Skidmore, I didn’t like it. I was in culture shock. But when I joined the swim team I lost that feeling of being different.
