This study examined the short-term movement memory of dancers and non-dancers.
Mental rehearsal strategies were considered to determine if visual imagery permits
greater choreography retention.

With the script, expectations, and goals of the curriculum provided, the authority figure
of a classroom seldom leaves space for students to incorporate their own sense of self,
creativity, and autonomy into the educational process. When given the opportunity to
design an entirely unique platform for learning, the pedagogy of an altruistic and
interdisciplinary environment can influence motivation, learning styles, and
reinforcement behaviors to fulfill the utmost heuristic potential of our human experience.

students includes projects from the 2016 Storytellers’ Institute, Skidmore-Saratoga
Memory Project Retirees Interviews, a multi-media exhibit by students in the January
2016 Cuba travel seminar, and individual video doc projects.
