SKIDMORE COLLEGE |
| Annual Report External Master's Program Committee During 2000-2001, the External Master's Program Committee met a total of eight times. Six students personally presented their academic programs to the Committee for review and all received approval for their individual plans. Some of the programs approved by the Committee were Judeo-Arabic Music: A Cross-cultural Examination; Art, Loss, and Place in Literature; Organizational Behavior and Adult Development; and Art and Artist. This year the Committee approved a new mission statement for the External Master's Program. Also approved was a proposal to grant graduate credit through MALS to interested, qualified students enrolled in summer programs offered by the Office of the Dean of Special Programs (i.e. Writers Institute, Summer Six Art Program, Saratoga International Theater Institute, and Summer Dance Workshop), beginning in summer 2001. Heretofore, students who wanted to earn graduate credit for their summer work at Skidmore did so through a collaborative arrangement with the University at Albany (SUNY). The Committee recommended that six students be awarded the Master of Arts degree. Members for 2000-2001: Gregory Goodwin |
