From: Pierre A. von Kaenel Chair, UWW Faculty Committee Re: UWW Faculty Committee Report, 2003-2004 Academic Year Date: May 20, 2004 During the 2003-2004 academic year, the University Without Walls Committee
met twenty-four times. In January 2004, two Committee faculty members
joined the Dean of Special Programs, the Director of UWW and several UWW
academic advisors on Antigua to recruit new students to the program, and
to review and approve degree plans for students finishing their studies.
UWW has established a connection with the Antigua and Barbuda Union of
Teachers, and most students recruited by UWW are teachers on UWW continues to attract a diverse and dedicated student body with majors
in a variety of fields such as art, business, anthropology, theater, social
work, economics, history, and sociology. The students have continued their
education while supporting families and maintaining professional careers.
The Committee is proud of their achievements and is always inspired by
their hard work and determination. The Committee is also thankful for
