Annual Report, External Master’s Program Committee

During 2004-2005, the External Master’s Program Committee met a total of seven times.

Eight students personally presented their academic programs to the Committee for review and all received approval for their individual plans. Some of the programs approved by the Committee were Religious Studies: The Influence of Asian Religious Thought in America, 19th Century American Literature and Religion, Cultural History of Indian Dance, History and Archaeology of the Northeast, Addiction Studies, Writing and Language, and Religion in Media.
The Committee also approved an increase in the minimum number of credits required of students while matriculated in the MALS program. Students must complete a minimum of 24 semester hours of coursework while matriculated at Skidmore.

The Committee recommended that seven students be awarded the Master of Arts degree.
