all Skidmore students and alumni. Due to our staff to client-base
ratio, services are limited to Skidmore students and alumni only.

Offering
career counseling, job search and graduate school advising, resume
and cover letter reviews. Email or call to schedule an appointment.
Distance counseling is also available via phone, email, or instant
messaging. Clients will be encouraged to explore their values, interests
and dreams, and will learn helpful tools to permit them to move
forward in establishing career goals. Clients interested in making
a career transition will also be assisted.
The
National Career Development Association
NCDA offers consumer guidelines for selecting a counselor (see Need
a Counselor?). It addresses what a career counselor does, training
and credentials, ethical practices, consumer rights and responsibilities,
and more. It also provides an online database to search for career
counselors by state.
