Design
Designing your web site well can significantly alter
your user's reaction to your work. Your goal as a web designer is
to present your credentials and personal information in a manner
that is functional, user friendly, and aesthetically pleasing.
The most common way to present artwork on the web is using
"thumbnails." Thumbnails are small (about slide size) photos
which can be clicked on to show a larger version of that small photo.
If you have some advanced HTML or other web programming
skills, you may want to consider creating a web portfolio that
utilizes a more interactive and presentational effect. The Portfolio
Library has samples, how-to's, and resources for
creating a portfolio.
Whether you want to brush up on your HTML skills or take
your first web design lesson, a great place to start is with Skidmore
Web Publishing Tutorials.
