ADVERTISING & MARKETING ASSISTANT to help coordinate a 2-day
EXPO event being held at the Saratoga Springs City Center on February
24 & 25, 20XX. Responsibilities include scheduling vendors and
presenters in the field of preservation, interior decoration, etc.,
as well as seminars and workshops; coordinating publicity; writing
press releases; maintaining databases; scheduling advertisements;
media relations, and other work as needed. Hours are flexible. Approximately

Description:
Interns help the Center fulfill its mission of working with individuals,
communities, and institutions to establish sustainable practices
that will ensure a healthy planet for future generations. Interns
are hired in 3 areas. Each intern will have some administrative
responsibilities but will mainly work closely with a staff member
in their respective area.
Qualifications:
Interns are expected to have an interest, knowledge, and/or experience
in issues related to sustainable consumption, the environment, or
social justice. Applicants are also expected to have a sense of
humor, integrity, and subscribe to our philosophy of "more
fun, less stuff."
Compensation:
Interns working 24 hours/week receive a stipend of $600 per month,
interns working 40 hours/week receive a stipend of $1000 per month.
Students are invited to intern for 16 hours/week in the Fall or
Spring for college credit.

Description:
PROGRAMMING/CREATIVE SERVICES INTERNS: Learn & participate in
the entire production process. This includes providing administrative
& technical support for the Channel Producers in the production
department & other duties as deemed necessary in the production
& post-production process. Interns will assist producers and
production assistants with the writing and researching of interstitial
promotional material for their assigned channel.
Qualifications:
Interns must have a basic knowledge of the television and motion
picture industries. They must also have excellent oral & written
communication skills and good typing skills, as well as the ability
to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Applicants should have
at least a 3.0 GPA and a demonstrated interest in the field of Broadcast
Production.
Compensation:
$8.00 per hour for about 15 hours per week. All interns will be
evaluated at the end of the term according to the university's and
Starz Encore's requirements for credit. If hired, the intern will
be asked to provide a copy of Social Security Card. Must receive
school credit for internship.

Women Make Movies is a national non-profit media arts organization
dedicated to the production, distribution, and exhibition of films
and videotapes by and about women. A multi-racial, multi-cultural
organization, Women Make Movies facilitates the development of feminist
media through a national distribution service, production assistance
program, touring exhibition programs, periodic publications, workshops
and conferences. Women Make Movies strongly encourages lesbians,
