Information for Students and Alumni

Please register using your MyCDC Account . Students who register (before the day of the event) and attend the event, will get a chance at winning 1 of 10 Skidmore sweatshirts.  Registration is recommended, but not required.

Admissions representatives will be at tables arranged in alphabetical order.  They will describe features of their schools, discuss admissions criteria, and answer questions. They will also distribute materials about their programs. It is not necessary to dress up; school attire is fine.

Your time at The Graduate and Professional School Expo will be most effective if you prepare in advance of attending.  Review our program guide for sample questions to ask the representatives and pick out a few booths that you know you want to visit.  Click here for this year's guide to the Expo.

Information for School Representatives

Thank you for your interest in Skidmore's Graduate and Professional School Expo. This year’s Fair will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, 2nd floor.  Check in opens at 4:30 PM.  A boxed meal will be provided.

Due to the limited space available, this year's event will be invite-only. In making these difficult decisions, we carefully review the interests and outcomes of our current students and graduates to feature those programs that best fit their goals. To register, please use the password designated on the invitation and go to: https://skidmoregradexpo2016.eventbrite.com. If you do not receive an invitation we encourage you to contact us at cdc@skidmore.edu and we will notify you if space becomes available.

Registration:
We offer an online registration system for your convenience.  Your registration provides us with important information about your institution and the programs that will be represented.   You will be able to pay electronically at the same time you register or later if you prefer.  The participation fee is $35.  To register and/or pay the participation fee, please visit the registration website: https://skidmoregradexpo2016.eventbrite.com

If you opt to pay by check, we prefer that you bring the check with you to the event.  If you would like to pay ahead of time, please be sure to note "Grad Expo 2016" on the bottom corner of the check and mail to

Before the Expo:
Sending Materials
If you need to ship materials ahead of time, please notify us (we have limited space) and send to the following address: Career Development Center, Starbuck Center, Skidmore College, 815 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Your materials will be waiting for you when you arrive to set up your information table.

Nametags & Tablecloths
Please consider bringing a nametag and a tablecloth from your college/university, if you have one available.  All tables will have a plain, solid tablecloth.
 
On the Day of the Expo:

Parking:  Please park behind Palamountain. Overflow parking is available in West Lot. Please review campus map.

Take the walkway between Palamountain and Tisch Learning Center (behind the playground). Make a right onto the walkway which leads you directly to Murray-Aikins Dining Hall.

Computers/Internet Access:  We arranged for wireless internet access on the day of the expo.  We will share that log-in and password with you when you get here.  Power outlets will be available on a limited basis.   If you plan on using a computer, please charge your laptop before the event.

Dinner:  Tasty boxed lunches will be available to each school representative by 5:30 PM.  Please indicate any special dietary needs on your registration form.  (Information available on how to update your form provided below).

To Change or Cancel Your Registration
Attendees can make changes to their registration (including name, e-mail, and lunch order) at any time by logging in to their Eventbrite account. To make a change, you will want to:

Dining options and attractions:  Saratoga Springs is a beautiful place to visit in the fall.  It’s famed for “health, history, and horses,” for its mineral waters, Revolutionary War battlefield, and the nation’s oldest thoroughbred racetrack.  Saratoga is equally renowned as an arts and cultural destination.
