Penfield Hall
History
Penfield Hall was built in the 1960s and is named after a trustee of the college, Adelia Penfield. She was one of the first women Lucy Skidmore Scribner chose in 1903 to help her manage the Young Women's Industrial Club. Mrs. Penfield was named a trustee of the newly chartered Skidmore School of Arts in 1911 and served on the board until her death in 1936.

Our residence halls contain a mix of triple, double, and single rooms. Each floor has great common room spaces where you might find students studying, attending an RA event, or just hanging out!
