12.10.06 Hot Pot Dinner!
Our biggest event of the year is coming up! Here is the deal: 
Where: Fallstaffs
When: Doors open at 5:30pm. Dinner served 6:30pm.
Tickets: $7 per person at Case Center. Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 12/6 to Friday 12/8 from 12pm to 5pm.
$10 per person at the door. But don't count on it! They will most likely be sold out!
The hot pot dinner will be served a wonderful shabu-shabu style dinner (cooked right at the table with fresh ingredients!) to 50 people. Come hungry!!
12.6.06 Contemporary Art Issues
8:00 pm in the ICC, come learn about one of China's most prominent contemporary artists Wang Guangyi. If you have any materials regarding contemporary art in Asia, you are invited to bring it in to share with the rest of us!
Also the two candidates for Secretary and Historian will come to present to us their willingness to serve. No voting will take place.
"What's Race Got to do with It?"
On Wednesday, December 6th, Skidmore College's Black Faculty and Staff Group Presents "What's Race Got to do with It?" A documentary film that goes beyond identity politics, celebratory history and interpersonal relations to consider social disparities and their impact on student success in today's post-Civil Rights world. Film screening and discussion with Prof. Kristie Ford (SO) and Joshua C. Woodfork (AS). ACA encourages you all to attend. 7:00-9:00pm in Gannett.
11.28 and 11.29 ELECTIONS!
Voting for the upcoming Spring 2007 semester will take place on both
Tuesday and Wednesday in the ICC at 8:00pm. Come hear what your candidates have to offer for Asian Culture Awareness! This year we will not be have voting on our online forums.
Anyone who is interested in becoming an executive board member next semester should submit a platform by Friday, Nov. 17th. The platform should be approximately one to two paragraphs long stating which position you are running for and why you should be elected into office.

Play Taiko Drum Master on Sony PS2 and PSP!! Come share your experience, knowledge, and impressions of Japanese music video games! Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology, Professor Lei Ouyang Bryant present her current research on Japanese music video games as sites of transnational cultural production and facilitate a discussion on Japanese popular culture in the United States.
