Cycling Teams' Goals
The Skidmore Cycling teams' athletic goals are as ambitious as Skidmore's
varsity athletic teams. The Cycling team represents Skidmore College
and its sponsors
in the official race weekends throughout New England in the spring and fall
of each academic year.
Fifty schools currently race within the New England conference (ECCC).
Each school is competing to win individual races in addition to gaining the
North Eastern Championship title. The Cycling team also represents
Skidmore College on a National level when our team members qualify for the Collegiate
Cycling Nationals held each year in late May.
The Skidmore Cycling
team will be competing for a top place in the New England Division II
conference this year. All
members of the Skidmore Cycling Club are welcome and encouraged to
race in the ECCC race circuit. While the Club has a core racing team, any other member of the club can race part time by purchasing a
uniform and a one-day license for ten additional dollars a race.
Thank you for reading,
