Skidmore Nutrition Action Council (SNAC) stands as a strong force to boost and expand nutrition awareness at Skidmore
College.
As a entirely student-run
organization, SNAC strives to reach out to the Skidmore student community and the Saratoga Springs region through various events and efforts. The
council faciliates, plans, and co-sponsers several crucial events on campus including National Nutrition Month, Skidmore Nutrition Awareness Week,
and Healthy Food Night in the dinner hall. SNAC, in concert with other organizations at Skidmore, reaches out to the local Saratoga Springs community through
means, such as visits to the Food Reserve Center. |
SNAC meets on a weekly basis on every Tuesday evening at 8pm in Bolton 280 . Newcomers are always welcome to join and participate in frequent discussions with other SNAC members.
Discussions encompass a wide variety of nutrition issues and always address issues important to participants. Periodically, SNAC invites and has the opportunity to
have guest lecturers and speakers either join regularly-structured discussions, or give larger presentations in Gannett Auditorium. SNAC encourages any interested
student who are passionate or even the slighest concerned about health and nutrition to come join us! Healthy SNACs are availible at every session meeting. |
