Lucia Dana Eastman hosted 16 members of her daughter’s family for a weekend, to celebrate a grandson’s graduation from law school. Guests from Maine, Florida, and Baltimore included a month-old great-grandson who “never cried once!” Eleanor Dillaway Rowland is “painting as usual.” The Peel Gallery in Vermont is doing a great job of selling her work. Husband Jim “worked like a fiend” to prepare their Queensbury, NY, garden for a Chapman Museum fundraising tour in July. I’m sure you share my feeling that Miriam Ogden Cudmore should have gone on being class secretary forever, she’s so good at it. But I, with much trepidation, will try to fill her shoes. I send a sincere thank-you to Oggie from all of us. I live within a few blocks of the Skidmore campus and the many enriching experiences the college offers in the way of music, drama, art, and sports. I had a marvelous time in Manhattan with my Washington State grandkids this summer. |
