Peg discovered that a new neighbor at the Moorings in Vero Beach was none other than Joan Taylor Brandenburg ’49. Dawn Rylander Spitz and husband sold their house on Cape Cod and live year-round in Rancho Mirage, CA. They also sold their business. The biggest news is the birth of their daughter’s first child. Dawn is still playing tennis, bike riding, singing, and writing lyrics. ppler went to Washington, DC, in April for the March for Women’s Lives. They report that it was exciting to be among more than a million marchers for woman’s reproductive rights, which included numerous religious groups. Sallie Walstrum Herman was very ill in January, due to an overdose of antibiotics given to her by a doctor; she was in the hospital for multiple blood transfusions. But seven weeks later, she competed in the Senior Olympics in Green Valley, AZ, surprising herself by winning a gold and two bronze medals! She spent a month in Coronado, CA, with her three children and their kids. For eight years Marcia Epstein Schonberger and husband Mickey have been in Sarasota, FL, “a really great city with lots of culture and good food.” Their condo association, Pelican Cove, offers a university, art, and lots of concerts. Cynthia Hartwig Gyorgy enjoyed a three-month visit—including Christmas in the mountains with cousins—in Bergen and Olso, Norway, last year. While there, she spent a day with Dori Holter-Sorenson Berggrav, and they “shared pictures and memories for hours.” Sadly, Dori’s husband, Dag, passed away in 2003 after a long bout with Parkinson’s. After a fabulous rail trip across the Canadian Rockies, Nancy Norling Coe landed in Seattle, WA, where she was met and superbly guided by Ann Ridge Adams and husband Mac. Andy Griffin Kepler and Keith hosted Nancy in Lafayette, CA, at their beautiful pool and garden. Moving on to Palm Desert, Nancy visited Dossie Weshner Goldsmith and husband Walter, who introduced her to the active lifestyle of their interesting community. Returning home, Nancy spent time with daughter Michelle and her family in Sun Valley, ID.
