We’ll have good representation if we all plan ahead. Rorry Pond Zahourek informed me that Mary Kerber Krugman has been inducted as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing, a very great honor. In August Julie Sparks Parmegiani and husband attended Skidmore’s Summer Exploration program for the fifth time. Son Dale Robinson ’98 works at Walton’s Sport Shop in Saratoga; daughter Kim left her job as sports information director at the US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point to be a full-time mom to son Kevin, 1. Kim’s husband is head football coach at the academy. Julie also has four stepchildren, ranging in age from 33 to 40, and two more grandsons, ages 8 and 3 months. She recently retired after 34 years as a high-school English teacher. Julie spends two months on Singer Island, FL, each winter and is currently serving on the Skidmore alumni board’s nominating committee. In June she saw Sandy Koch Prior at a gardening workshop, where Sandy was teaching a class on roses. While completing graduate school, Trisha Farrell Morris was frequently grateful for her experience at Skidmore, where she learned how to “write a coherent paper.” She is an educational diagnostician working in two elementary schools. Daughter Katie is married and has a new baby; Trisha has “totally fallen into the granny mode!” Susie Hess Hazelton has residences in Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Vermont. She and husband Russ enjoy golf, tennis, and bridge. Kathie Aberman has moved to Liberty, NY. Son Peter lives in NYC, Lucas is a sophomore at Elmira College, and Benita attends the high school where Kathie teaches. Kathie is interested in peace and justice issues. Sallie Baldwin’s daughter Kristin Andrade ’89 was inducted into the National Human Services Honor Society. Together they visited Elinor Anderberg ’39, who was a friend of Sallie’s mother, Harriet Chase Baldwin. Sallie visited with Cali Vyverberg Jansen, who lives in California and does amazing work, using animals to heal humans, through her company, Equine Equations. Sallie is a case manager working with elderly people in Springfield, MA. She says she loves “being single once again.” Sue Isbell and husband Bob enjoyed an evening in Tampa, FL, with Sarah Smith Munley, who was attending a professional conference there last spring. Ellen Judge Swanson and husband Norman joined Ellen’s mom for a seven-week vacation in Florida earlier this year. They rode Space Mountain at Disney World and spent March in Naples, visiting friends.
