Skidmore quiz:
Who, what, when?

The new Beijing exchange program is up and running. The first Skidmore students are studying there now, and this fall a group of professors and others from Beijing University spent a week at Skidmore meeting with faculty and administrators. Click here for details.

Hall of Fame at Skidmore? It’s true, and the first inductees -- from a ‘40s golf phenom to ‘90s record-breakers in basketball, hockey, and tennis -- were welcomed in October. Read about the ceremony here.

LS 1 is out; “first-year seminars” are in. The freshman curriculum has been updated: instead of the same big course with smaller discussion sections, new students next fall will choose among smaller courses in a range of topics, still with critical thinking and interdisciplinary approaches at the core. More info to come in future Scopes.
