They’ve arrived with a bang, but they’re no bombs. Skidmore’s newest enrollees, selected from yet another huge applicant pool, include visitors from a dozen foreign countries, more students of color than in recent years, and another full complement of first-semester-in-London participants. (They also include two freshmen who were displaced from Tulane University when Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans; Skidmore has waived their first-term tuition and fees. Other students from Gulf Coast colleges may be offered slots at Skidmore as well.)
