Michele Goldzicher Sheldlin was appointed a tenured professor with an endowed chair at the University of Texas. She is a medical anthropologist.

Louise Provisor Kleinbaum and husband Cliff celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary last fall with a trip “down under,” visiting Melbourne, Sydney, the Outback, and the Great Barrier Reef. More recently, they had brunch with Nancy Fisher and husband Marc after discovering that they had a friend in common who brought them together.

Sandy Berk Jacoby “had a ball” at Skidmore’s Celebration Weekend last fall. She and her 90-year-old (but going on 50) mother sampled student performances and mini-college classes and enjoyed cocktails and dinner with Phil and Marie Glotzbach. Sandy is co-president of the Westchester/Fairfield Skidmore club with Claire Simonelli ’83 of Stamford, CT. The pair held a cocktail party at a Greenwich yacht club to introduce the Glotzbachs to local alumni and parents last year. Sandy invites anyone interested in club activities to contact her at SandyonRye@aol.com.

Carolyn Bates had her first peek at Wellesley College when she accompanied her mother for her reunion there in June. According to her mother, writing is the single most important skill to acquire in college, followed by socializing with friends and teachers. Carolyn, however,
is grateful for the 10-page biology papers she was required to hand in promptly at
8 a.m. to Dr. Howard.

In June Ida Giragossian ’65 and I spent a wonderful afternoon with our former piano instructor, Mr. Hausman, who played for us. He was the same witty person I so joyously remember from years ago. In May my husband and I renewed our wedding vows at the same church in which we were married, with our two 20-something boys standing up for us. The four of us had dinner in the same room at the Parker House where we held our original wedding reception.
