In July Lisa Fairchild Heist returned to campus with son Andrew, a high-school senior. “The campus is so beautiful—just as I remember, except there are more buildings.” Lisa got together with Guilford, CT, resident Katie Cutler Reichart and her family for a barbecue. The Heists live in Trumbull.

Santa Monica, CA, resident Ellen Genco observes that Skidmore’s popularity on the West Coast seems to be growing; she interviewed seven applicants for her alma mater this year. She and husband Jamie Berger celebrated son Oliver’s first birthday in April. Ellen has restarted her business, Sweet & Co., which specializes in home-made classic desserts. Jamie is VP and general manager of the consumer products division of IGN Entertainment.

Susan Eisenberg is an electrophysiologist working in Walnut Creek, CA, east of Berkeley. She started her own small practice over a year ago, in order to have more time for husband Steve and sons Matthew, 11, and Adam, 8. Susan is happy to talk to Skidmore students about careers in medicine and balancing work with family life.

Robert Rubin is “hoping the world calms down a little” so he can stay home for a while. Despite his efforts to limit travel while the family moved into a new home, his job (senior VP of MVM Inc., which provides security services to US government agencies worldwide) took him to Beijing, Kabul, Baghdad, Amman, Jerusalem, London, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Gerry Kiep Sangiacomo and Lisa Tesar Capretta reunited in the hall at St. Ignatius College Preparatory during a back-to-school night last fall. Gerry’s daughter Christina is a senior there; Lisa’s son Alex is a freshman.
