I met at Skidmore in July to begin planning our 25th reunion, May 31–June 3, 2007. We accomplished a lot and had a blast. If you’d like to join the Reunion planners, contact co-chairs Judy Goldstein Landman (jglmommy@aol.com) or Chuck Kaufman (ckaufman41@gmail.com).
Amie Schwartz Drahos works from home full-time in Long Valley, NJ. She’s in account management in IBM’s global outsourcing division. Amie and husband Marty have two girls:
Dana, 13, and Caroline, 10. Amie enjoys annual visits with Fred and Elizabeth Russell
Hochberger at their beach house in Rockport, MA, Denise LaSorte (Atlanta, GA), Rob Girvin (Shaker Heights, OH), Joe Frem (Shrewsbury, MA), and, via e-mail, Bruce Zutler (Dix Hills, NY). She receives news of Eileen Kelly-Reed (Lynfield, MA) and Christine Jones Juneau (Weston, CT) via holiday cards. Amie is looking forward to our 25th reunion next spring since the last one
“was a blast!”
DeAnna Mori and husband Robert Soluri announce the adoption of Marielle, who was born
March 12 and arrived home on March 14. The family lives in Lincoln, MA.
Susan DeWolfe Burns and husband Michael, UWW ’94, have three children. Joshua graduated from Marlboro College in 2005 and works in Brattleboro, VT. Kate took classes at Skidmore’s Summer Six program before returning to her BFA program at Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications. Daughter Willow is continually revising the list of colleges to which she will apply this fall; Skidmore remains on her list! Susan confesses that, “while it would be really cool
if she followed in the tradition of her mom and late grandmother Patricia Shinn DeWolfe ’48, I’m trusting her process and trying not to be a nudge.” Susan and Michael, both teachers, purchased
an abandoned farm on 24 acres in Montgomery County, NY, that dates to the late 1700s. They salvaged “incredibly gorgeous” timber, including hand-hewed beams. The renovated home and new addition will utilize solar and wind technology. The remaining barns will house a woodworking shop and painting studio for Michael and some box stalls for Susan’s long
overdue horses!
Teresa Rath Christina teaches ballet and jazz to kids and adults. She also does dance therapy with seniors. She was hired by the Diocese of Providence to create a kids’ performance about Creation at the Providence Performing Arts Center.
Nina Nasner-Yoder can’t wait to visit with old friends at Reunion next spring.
A nursing grad, she is a full-time mom of three teenagers and is active with volunteer and church work.
Our deepest condolences to Gail Calumet Shahan and her children Morgan and Louis. Gail’s husband, Kevin, died suddenly of a heart attack in May. It was a shock to those of us who knew Kevin, as he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed sports. The family lives in San Anselmo, CA.
