Matt Santangelo, VP of trusts and estates for Merrill Lynch’s northeast region since 1995, was elected to the board of the New England chapter of the US Fund for UNICEF. Matt advises clients on multigenerational legacy planning and wealth-management strategies. He also advises nonprofits about donor charitable planning and investment of endowment and trust funds.
An NROTC graduate, he served in the Navy as lieutenant commander and surface warfare officer onboard a guided-missile destroyer. He lives in Medford, MA, with his wife, Marie-Bernadette
Uy Santangelo ’88, and sons Alexander and Nicholas.

In New York Cynthia Nagle is assistant director of marketing and outreach at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the University at Albany. Previously she was a senior account executive at ad agencies in Albany and Syracuse, and marketed accounting and financial consulting services in central New York. Cindy lives in Clifton Park with her husband, Jim, and children Alaina and Collin.

Karen Fritz Hagin and husband David live in Victoria, TX. Karen is associate professor of history at the local college. In June 2005 they welcomed daughter Julia to the family.

David Lemmond returned to Los Angeles, CA, last year after two years in Miami. He is general manager of Chamberlain West Hollywood, which was named one of the “hot hotels” of 2006 by Conde Nast Traveler. He lives in Echo Park (with great views of Dodger Stadium) with partner Pedro.

Fiona Grant Boltz is president of the Junior League of Lancaster, PA. She works four days a week as an investment associate at Merrill Lynch. Children Colin, 7, and Lucy, 3, keep her on her toes. Thankfully, she says, husband Karl is a “great cook and dad.”

Emily Bickford Lansbury and husband George Lansbury ’85 live in the Hudson River town of Garrison, NY, about an hour’s commute into the city. They are enjoying the country life with daughters Elizabeth, 12, and Natalie, 7. The family menagerie includes two guinea pigs, two turtles, a dog, and eleven fish, “but the kids are angling for goats, ducks, horses, and just about anything else that is furry and moves.” George manages Treasure HD, a high-definition TV channel for collectors. Emily is an independent producer of children’s and young-adult projects
for television.

Gregory Alan Rutchik joined Liner Yankelevitz Sunshine & Regenstreif’s San Francisco practice. He litigates on behalf of companies or creators that are authors or publishers, have branded products, provide technical services, or license software or technology. He is a member of the Skidmore Business Network.

Jim Lebson is an attorney for G. Loomis, a manufacturer of high-end fishing rods in Portland, OR. In May he married Janet; the nuptials were attended by Gowan McAvity, Richard Hubell, Rob
and Sharon Writner Swan ’88, Toby Halsey, Gideon Klein, Jim Welcome, Eric Baughman, Brian Klingler, Eero Kola, Jamie Ackerman, John Schwallie ’86, Andrew Rink ’86, and Ian Wedmore ’86. Jim would be happy to hear from Skidmore alums in the Pacific Northwest at jlebson@gloomis.com.
