Jaye Scholl Bohlen and husband Charlie are still raising children. Daughter Avis, 21, is a junior at Harvard; Charles III, 19, spent a year after high school doing service work in Madagascar and New Orleans and now attends Washington University; and Peter, 17, is a junior in high school. Charlie works for an investment management firm, and Jaye is a freelance writer.

Germain Graves loved going back to Skidmore for Reunion last June. She enjoyed seeing people and catching up, and is so proud of the class, “for trying to improve conditions in the world.” We send our sympathies to Germain, whose sister died of heart disease in February.

I am sad to report that Bonnie Betcone Cole passed away in April, after a brief battle with
liver cancer. Family members have set up a memorial fund to benefit the Maple Hills
Elementary School in Issaquah, WA, where Bonnie was principal. A tribute Website is at www.bonniecolememorial.com. I last saw Bonnie at Judy Sarubin’s wedding in 2005 (they were close friends), and she was as lovely as I had remembered her from school days.
