While attending a benefit this spring, a fellow attendee asked me where I had gone to college, which prompted someone else to identify Leslie Gardner McGovern as a fellow alumna—and, as I later discovered,
a classmate! Leslie recently e-mailed that she spent an extended weekend on Nantucket with Barbie Herbert von der Groeben and Mary Hardman LaPorte.
Nancy Twist Sienknecht has lived in Chattanooga, TN, since 1975. She was married to a physician for 25 years; they divorced nine years ago. Twin sons Eric and Jason are 30-year-old psychologists living in San Francisco and Boulder, respectively. Nancy says she is “still a romantic and looking for love.”
Christine Chase Neill collaborated with designer Lew Fifield to produce a series of banners that hang in city parks as part of the Urban Forest Project in Baltimore.
Judy Allen Wilson has visited the Black Sea, Japan, Easter Island, and Egypt this year. In between trips, she does consulting work on transportation and water issues. She chaired a successful $6.5 million capital campaign for the Family Literacy Center in Pasadena, CA. “It was gratifying but stressful!” says Judy. She is now starting a volunteer committee to create a master plan for Descanse Gardens, a public garden near La Canada-Flintridge in California. She is looking forward to our reunion in 2009 and will be calling our classmates on behalf of Friends of the Presidents.
We have already been busy working on plans for our 40th, which will take place May 28–31, 2009. Be sure to mark your calendar and be there for the fun!
