Stephen Doff and wife MaryLynn were busy all summer, running and swimming with children Abigail, 7, and Simon, 2. Stephen has been teaching Spanish to middle- and high-school students at Howard Community College, and MaryLynn develops curriculum for Howard County Public Schools. The Doffs enjoyed their wedding anniversary with a night away in Saratoga. They also had a chance to catch up with Tracey Meltzer Kyle and her husband, Neil, at their favorite tapas restaurant, Jaleo in Bethesda, MD.

Justin Model has gone full-tilt on triathlons. In addition to buying a full-on tri bike (which is equal to the cost of a few mortgage payments), he has now completed three races and has three more this year. You can find him training almost daily with his local tri club in Central Park or along 9W in New Jersey. He would love to hear from other triathletes in our class. Just reply on Facebook.

After spending a “weird year” in Charlottesville, VA, Matthew Fotter and family moved back to the New Orleans area and repurchased the house they sold after the storm. His wife is back to her teaching position. Matthew and a friend started an information assurance company, I-Assure, LLC.

Leigh Niles Reason and husband Matt live in the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles with daughter Nelle, 2. Leigh is a freelance writer, editor, and videographer in addition to her role as stay-at-home mom. She recently saw Christina Andrews Worrall and Michelle Peters, who were visiting Los Angeles.

David Sackar works in commercial real-estate development and management in Chicago with his brother Michael Sackar ’94. David got his MBA at the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He married wife Dana in 2005 in Telluride, CO. She is a physical and cranial-sacral therapist who owns her own company, Body Wellness.

Matt Friedman lives in Connecticut with wife Diane, son Julien, 9, and daughter Talia, 5. Matt is currently heading global strategy and marketing for IBM Business Systems. He is interested in hearing from any Skiddies in the NYC and Connecticut areas—or in France, where the family spends their summers.

Francesca Zammarano recently moved to a new apartment in NYC. In August 2007 she had a baby boy, Marco; he joins brother Luca, 5.

Middle-school science teacher Joe Frame coaches baseball and Knowledge Bowl in Buckley, WA, where he lives with his wife, Penny, and their children Brock and Abby.

Linda Cramer Laurenz has returned to teaching after spending seven years at home with her four children. She will teach gifted third-grade students in suburban Saginaw, MI. Linda and her husband also continue working on their farm. She stays in touch with Jen Acerbi Gauerke, Lauren Beaumont, and Beth Atkins ’92. She spent part of her summer on the Connecticut shore, and wants to run the CRIM 10-mile race in Flint as well as complete a triathlon. “All that Skidmore swimming has taught me well!” she says.

In San Francisco, Amy Singer is staying home with daughters Ella, 3, and Charlotte, 1. She and her family spent a few vacation weeks in Maine this summer. She looks forward to participating in more regional Skidmore events once the baby lets her family get some rest!

Suzette Soboti Swinson is coaching and teaching at the University of Redlands. She traveled to Ireland with her soccer team in August and then to the UK with her lacrosse team. She reports that the team “got their butts kicked by the Scottish national team,” which was expected. Suzette brought Kate Mitchell Earnest along to Italy as her assistant coach to an Italian soccer team through USA Athletes International in Italy.

I, Heather Denkmire, nee Santmire, married Josh Denk (Denk + Santmire = Denkmire). We live in Maine with daughter Maya, 5. I own grantwinners.net, a company that helps nonprofit groups prepare and position themselves for financial sustainability. I would love to hear from old friends and can be found almost daily on Facebook, where Justin Model maintains a Skidmore group.
