Jeff Drake and Taryn Howard Drake ’03 welcomed baby Jason on May 19. The Drakes live in Framingham, MA. Jeff teaches middle-school Spanish in Southborough, and Taryn is
a fourth-grade teacher in Wellesley.
In July Samantha Warnock married Francis Spor in Duanesburg, NY. The couple lives near Schenectady with their dog.
Athena Kolbe began a PhD program in social work and political science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her research interests are in human rights and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Kelly Watson married Gregory Moss of Stoneham, MA, in South Berwick, ME, on August 8. Bridesmaids included Jessica Balch Krupsky ’99 and Amy Steele Dunbar ’99. Also in attendance were Karen Geagan Lopes, Liz Argent-Belcher, Jared Tendler, Kenny Dunbar, Shannon Foster Guerrero, Kim Sweet, and Alana Madden Russell. Kelly and Greg live in Dover, NH.
In 2006 Andria Kolesnikoff traveled to Nicaragua to work with MILAVF, an organization that defends children’s rights and offers free extracurricular classes in arts and crafts and dance. Part of her work involved sponsoring chess tournaments and soccer leagues. She now lives in Washington, DC.
Ali Slater Halpern and husband Zach welcomed twins Jared and Sadie on Feb 2. They live in the Boston area.
Lyn Thorne married James Taggart in October 2007. They live in Surrey, UK, where Lyn (atlyntaggart@yahoo.com) teaches first grade at an international school. The couple recently bought a home.
Matthew Kemp and Meghan Maguire Kemp happily announce the birth of daughter Fiona on December 10. The Kemps live on Cape Cod, MA, where Matt is a potter at Kemp Pottery and Meghan is a fundraiser for the Community Health Center of Cape Cod. They say Fiona keeps busy being super-cute.
Jennifer Cummings Hillery and husband Matthew welcomed baby Samuel on June 7. They are all happy and healthy.
Ben Sargent is one of two artists starring in a reality TV show called Art Race. Their goal is to cross the country (from Los Angeles), making art along the way—with no funds. Ben (hurricanehopeful@yahoo.com) would like to hear from anyone who knows of galleries or artists willing to let him make art in their front yards and/or stay with them on his journey.
Brian and Jessica Stormont Stevens announce the birth of daughter Harper on December 31. Harper and sister Quinn accompany their parents to St. Mark’s School, where Brian is a chemistry and biology teacher, dorm parent, and coach. He received his PhD from Dartmouth in 2006.
