Jennie Schneier was married August 5, 2007, to Andrew Heck in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. George Kokkinidis ’00 was on hand to celebrate. The newlyweds live in Niskayuna, NY, where Jennie teaches elementary school and Andrew works at the New York State Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. Jennie is a former radio producer.
Matt Topalian earned a master’s degree and certification in elementary education. He is a fifth-grade teacher in Stow, MA. Now the search for a condo is on!
This fall Suzi Piker took a hiatus from the Portland (ME) Press Herald to study audio storytelling at SALT Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland. She encourages alumni in Maine to give her a shout at suzipiker@gmail.com.
Sinem Varoglu is in NYC pursuing her music career. Her debut album, When I Don’t Sleep (under her new artist name, Sinem Saniye), was released on her own label, 6/8 Records. It has garnered buzz in Europe and Turkey, as well as radio airplay in Puerto Rico; U.S. Global Rhythm magazine chose it as one of the top 10 best albums of 2008. After more than six years of teaching and enjoying life in Colorado, Molly McClennan returned to Montpelier, VT, to teach special ed and coach field hockey to fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-graders at Barre Town Middle and Elementary School. She is also pursuing a second master’s degree.
Renee Moore (UWW) is working for the NYS government, which she finds different but better than the private sector. She misses the Skidmore campus.
Melissa Arentshorst Dreisbach and husband Erik welcomed son Jackson on May 24.
Theresa Oh graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2005 and is a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, trying felony gun cases. She lives in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn. In 2004 her piece “Innocence After Guilt: Post-conviction DNA Relief for Innocents Who Pled Guilty” was published in the Syracuse Law Review.
I was married to Andrew Jones last June in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Groton, MA. We are living outside of Boston, where I am an RN at Winchester Hospital and hope to complete a nurse-practitioner program this year.
