"Spirit, creativity, and athleticism” is what Randi Zinn ’01 saw in the Pilobolus performance that she attended with Skidmore’s New York City club. Pilobolus, known for its “startling mix of humor and invention,” was at the Joyce Theater to perform Borderless Innovation, in which the dancers combine to form surprising shadows and silhouettes. Zinn says, “My fiancé and I were both glued to the performance.” The Skidmore outing, organized by Gabrielle Goldman ’05, began with drinks and conversation at the Ate Ave bar next door to the theater. For Zinn, “It was so nice to meet fellow alumni—there’s always a bond.” Gwen Putzig Pier ’81 also “met several Skidmore alums for the first time—all from different classes—which was really fun. Here we all are, living in this little town of Manhattan, and we didn’t even know each other!” Pier says the show was “terrific.” And Zinn liked the venue so much that she hopes “to attend other shows at the Joyce—an intimate theater and a wonderful way to enjoy dance.”—SR
