Amy Sears Diehl lives outside of Philadelphia with husband Matthew and children Madelyn, 6, and Nicholas, 3. She works for British pharmaceutical company Shire, as a global commercial strategy director. Like so many of us, Amy and Matthew struggle to maintain the work/life balance. They love to travel and are doing the Disney thing these days.
Tracey Marks Fink still lives and thrives in St. Louis, MO. She has practiced as a chiropractic physician for 12 years, using alternative methods to help bring health and joy back to the lives of her patients (www.healthstl.com). She and her partner, Diane, have been together for 13 years and spend their evenings with their two fat and furry cats, Tortuga and Saratoga. Tracey would love to hear from friends via Facebook.
After 12 years in Chicago, Lauren Girard Adams moved back to the Northeast. She and her family are in Vermont, where they enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, and reconnecting with friends. Lauren, who taught in the legal clinic at Northwestern Law School for many years, is at home with children Charlie, 7, and Caroline, 4. Husband Rob works at fine glass manufacturer Simon Pearce, so the kids are getting to try their hand at blowing glass!
Maritza Rivera lives in Seattle with husband Dan Kully, daughter Elena, 3, and the newest addition to their family: Lily, 1. Kimberly Lasher Mitchell and her family live around the corner, a fact discovered when the families bumped into one another at a neighborhood community center. Maritza had another small-world experience with Kimberly on a recent trip to Florida. She was traveling with her two daughters, bracing herself for the six-hour flight. The person who shared their row with them turned out to be Kimberly, who was returning from a meeting in Florida! They had a great flight, catching up and laughing about the coincidence. It was an added bonus, Maritza says, that Kimberly was so great with the girls. “I felt so lucky to have a fellow Skiddie on board!”
Chip Puccio has been living in vineyard country, at the end of eastern Long Island on the North Fork, for eight years. He sells residential and commercial real estate for Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in Cutchogue. Before 9/11 Chip was in the advertising business in NYC—he saw the second plane hit the World Trade Center up close. In that tragedy, Chip lost his best friend, his cousin (a fireman for Ladder 4), and many other people he knew. Chip says he now “works for a living instead of living to work.”
Stephen Doff and wife MaryLynn celebrated daughter Abigail’s eighth birthday and son Simon’s third birthday in March. The Doffs are also celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this year, with a trip to La Romana, Dominican Republic. Last winter Stephen, a French and Spanish teacher, traveled to Quebec City with 30 students from all over his school district, for the city’s Carnaval celebration. The Doffs enjoyed dinner with Tracey Meltzer Kyle and her husband, Neil, at Jaleo, a restaurant in Bethesda, MD. Stephen invites anyone passing through the Baltimore/DC area to get in touch.
Cat Weltz Beurnier and husband Gautier continue enjoying life in Paris with son Sabastien, 6, and new addition Gesele, 2. Her new business, Little Miss Cupcake (www.littlemisscupcakeparis.blogspot.com) was featured this spring in L’Express online. Cat hopes to open a “cupcakery” in the near future. She loves hearing from former classmates, especially those passing through Paris.
Kristy Allardyce Livingston, husband David, and kids Noel, Kathryn, and Chase moved from Virginia to Sarasota, FL, this summer. Happily, Kristy remains “BFFs” with Kristina Burns Kenyon, who lives with husband Ron and their boys Jack and Henry in Westerly, RI. Kristy and Kristina have both enjoyed catching up with Skiddies through Facebook.
David Sackar wrote to set the record straight. He lives in Chicago (not Colorado, as previously reported) with his wife, their new baby daughter Maia, and a large Rhodesian ridgeback dog named Astro.
Andrew Stiles lives in Venice Beach, CA, with his wife Fiona, of NYC. They were married just over a year ago in Palm Springs. Andrew is a beauty photographer (www.andrewstiles.com), and Fiona is a celebrity makeup artist.
In September Dave Goldberg and his wife, Fiona Capuano, welcomed son Alexander; he joins sister Leyla, 3. Dave owns Killer Bunny Entertainment, a television production company in New York. He works with many Skidmore alums, from the ’90s all the way up to 2008. He celebrated his 40th birthday party with Matt Friedman, Pete Hayes, and Jimmy Zankel ’92. Dave says he tried to convince Julianne Kelley Jordan to fly out from LA, “but she was too busy being a Hollywood mogul.”
