Leigh Sayward DuPuy recently passed the class secretary torch to me. Leigh has done a phenomenal job keeping us close and connected. I will do my best to meet the high standard she has set; but I need your help, so please keep the news coming!

Alan Horton lives in Minneapolis with wife Amy and their 2-year-old son, Andre. Alan is in his second season as the radio play-by-play voice of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx. He travels with the team and broadcasts every game—they are free to listen to at NBA.com and WNBA.com. While traveling in Minneapolis, Alan saw Alec Junge, who owns a pottery company in Kansas City, KS, and in Boston he bumped into Laurence Wintersteen, owner of several Boston eateries.

Scott Greenstone is a registered nurse and clinical manager of cardiology and emergency medicine for Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights, NJ, the largest multidisciplinary group practice in the state. Scott lives in South Orange with wife Kathy and children Henry, 4, and Zoey, 2. The family recently spent 10 days in the San Francisco Bay area, visiting Scott’s brother and his wife and new baby. While there, the Greenstones spent time with Rob Glickman and his family. Rob lives in Burlingame with his wife and kids Alessandra, 6, and Luca, 4. After seven years with eBay he now heads up Zoomerang, an online market research business. A California convert (although he misses NYC sometimes), Rob says he “cannot imagine living anywhere else.”

Having served on the Santa Barbara (CA) City Council for five years, Helene Schneider has announced her campaign for mayor of the city and will be a candidate on the November ballot.

Dan Barsness lives outside of Minneapolis with wife Ava and daughters Jenna and Megan. He is responsible for business development and market management for MTS Systems Corp. The family enjoyed the freezing Minnesota winter, taking their first family ski trip and spending time with their new turtle, Lou. Bars accomplished two major things this year: he built a kayak and completed his first triathlon.

In March Jake Jacoby celebrated in style with fellow Skiddies while in Las Vegas for a weekend trip. Nate Watkins, Dave Jodka, Ralph Garboushian, and Chris Robinson ’94 all had fun in the sun with “the Kid,” but the big surprise was when Parker Sawyer surprised everyone by showing up. Good times were had by all. On May 2 Jake married Jennifer Ketron in Charlottesville, VA. His best men were his dad and, in memoriam, the late Chris Riggio. Chris’s parents were in the front row with Jake’s parents to celebrate the occasion. Nate Watkins and Parker Sawyer were groomsmen, and Dave Jodka performed a reading during the ceremony. Also in attendance were Ralph Garboushian, Chris Robinson ’94, and Kate Merchant Snyder. The Kid survived the big day and couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter of life with Jen.

The Boston-based soul and R&B a cappella group Ball in the House, launched by former Bandersnatcher Jon Ryan, won an NBC Today show talent competition this past spring and earned a slot on America’s Got Talent. For more information, visit www.ballinthehouse.com.

My aunt Janet Conathan Wrightnour ’67 was awarded the Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Chair Award from Keystone College, where she is a professor and chair of the division of social and behavioral sciences. The award, presented annually to a faculty member for outstanding achievement in teaching, professional development, and contributions to the Keystone community, is the highest honor bestowed upon its faculty members. My mother and I joined my uncle, cousins, and my aunt’s grandson to surprise her at the awards ceremony. As her namesake and fellow Skidmore alumna,I presented a bouquet to her as she took the stage. We are all very proud of her.
